The damaged environment results in reduced fish stock which threatens the livelihood of this community. The ecotourism activities have been developed as a means to draw attention to this problem and generate other sources of income for the community.
Your community work will involve reforestation of mangrove forests, participation in the sea grass nursery program, planting sea grass and releasing aquatic fish stock back into nature. You can also help the community construct the infrastructure needed to support eco-tourism activities such as building a walking trail through mangrove forests or a small shelter and information board to help educate travellers.
You can also enjoy island hopping through the beautiful limestone karsts and canoeing along the mystic cave river in Phang Nga Bay. On your way to the community, you can experience the Phuket Old Town Discovery & Foodie Walking Tour to learn the local life style and taste some delicious local food!
