Trekking program with GROUND in Thailand allows students out of the hustle-bustle of a big city and brings them back to nature. We take the students to Doi Inthanon National Park, which is one of Thailand’s most beautiful protected areas and boasts an immense diversity in flora and fauna. The trek takes them to the summit of Thailand’s highest mountain and learn about the Karen Hill Tribe. Along the way, we visit two of Doi Inthanon’s most spectacular waterfalls. Within the village, students are encouraged to be involved in local agricultural projects, practice some language, and participate in a teaching class and play a game with the children.
Students will also get the chance to carry out wildlife protection activity. They will be welcomed by an expert of Tong Bai Elephant Foundation. He will introduce them to the elephant and provide them with specific information about the Asian elephant.
