At a glance:
Most people see used plastic such as food wrap and straw as garbage, meaning it gets discarded and later often disrupts the environment. This GROUND Asia program in Indonesia for students invites them to turn trash into more useful objects!
We will invite students to take part in a plastic recycling workshop with practitioners, which make it into a building material that is easy to make by everyone. Then, we will invite them to one of the villages in Indonesia to make public installation using these building materials made from plastic, ranging from trash bins, organic garden, or playgrounds. In addition, students can also disseminate the information of making this building material that may help local economy!
