The GROUND trekking program at Mondulkiri, Cambodia provides an opportunity for students to not only explore nature but also increase their cultural awareness through local interaction. Students will spend sometime in the village to visit Bunong‘s traditional tribal homes and learn about their life and culture that differs from Khmer people. They will learn about life being farmer and how Bunong people survive as farmer.
Along the trek, we will visit three water caves, one bats cave, and waterfalls. Students can also enjoy swimming during trekking. Our guides are knowledgeable and ready to describe the natural resources in the forest and its benefit. They will also explain about some history in each place visited. Students will learn about the forest, wildlife and the issues they are facing.
