By embarking on an educational travel program, students will not only get to learn about a different country but also learn about themselves, realise new interests and passions, develop a greater sense of independence, and maybe even find inspiration for further studies or their future career.
WHAT FACULTY AND STUDENTS SAY ABOUT OUR PROGRAMS
We spent a lot of time in the community and had the opportunity to meet a lot of people. Through this, we learned a lot about culture and religion in Indonesia, specifically the impact of culture and religion on health. This has developed my cultural understanding and I intend to integrate this into my practice back at home as I continue my studies.
Working with GROUND was easy from start to finish! Planning was great – we had specific learning goals in mind and the team made a program that we couldn’t have even dreamed up ourselves! The trip itself went without a hitch and they paid so much attention to detail on everything. Thank you so much Yoana for all your hard work!
We’ve seen things that we would not have had the opportunity to see in our country and we’ve seen different ways to address a situation that we would not normally use. This has helped me develop my skills in thinking on my feet and it’s a great learning experience for me because at home we tend to learn one way of doing things.
Thank you Madara for taking such great care of us over the past two weeks. The experience in Sri Lanka have been truly wonderful and we learned so much both practically and theoretically over the sessions we had at the local university and hospital.
Through the program with GROUND Asia, my students were able to work directly with local professionals and this collaboration let me observe how well my students can apply their practical skills, and develop new skills. It was also a great help to have the GROUND Asia staff there to take care of hotels, transport and food so that I could concentrate on the students.
A unique and wonderful opportunity with hands-on experience. The local lecturers and students could not have been more welcoming; always helping us with answers to our questions.
